The R & D division focuses mainly on stress tolerance factors because the vulnerability of the crops to a multitude of stresses. By increasing crop yields, through the use of biotechnology holds significant promise to the future without increase in land area. And this would benefit the farmers and improve their socio-economic status

Ashoka Seeds is thus presently engaged in extensive R & D, production and marketing of vegetable hybrid seeds. In the future Ashoka Farm Aids aims to develop novel stress tolerant hybrids / varieties of vegetables and cereal crops, via Marker Assisted Selection (MAS) Breeding Programs to speed up the process for identification of the trait of interest. Further it also intends to adapt Doubled Haploid Technology (DHT) to generate an array of Homozygous Inbred Lines for the breeding programs.

Products Developmental Activities:

Our Organisation Conducted Mega Field-2018 in our trial station Rajankunte, Bangalore .All hybrids/varieties were evaluated by visitors and the best performing hybrids were released in to the market for commercialization.
